I forget: Photos look so cool when they are printed. Especially at big sizes, like 8" x 10". I've been going through my archives, especially since getting the Canon, and picking out lots of photos to turn into prints. They look good. I'm really pleased. That camera rocks. I ADORE the paper (Moab Lasal Photo Luster [now called Exhibition Luster]). It's kind of a matte/semi-gloss. It reminds me of honed Carrera marble. Technology. Awesome. Anyway, I have to admit that, content-wise, the photos look pretty cool together as a group. I think there's a story in them, somehow. The story of these days. Maybe pictures are more like a poem than a story. No linear plot. Little glimpses. Distilled (like a poem). I can't write it. I can print the colors of it on paper, and hold the pages in my hands. I look into them and see the details, sometimes the big picture. As if I could.

I'm looking forward to seeing which photos you offer in your shop - so many lovely ones to choose from!

Its the details of our lives I think that in some respects make the impact. Its only once in a while the big picture matters. I loves these photos of the details.

Photos are awesome. Speaking of pictures, I clicked on baby things and was reminded of the baby and mother in prison. Anything new with her...I hope she is well and headed for a good life.

I look forward to buying one of your photos to frame and hang up in our farmhouse. Did you have time to check out the photos on my blog this week of our trip to the beach? Hubby found me a nice collection of agates! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Poetry comes through the lens of your camera, the crafts you create and the life that you live and share with us through your words that evoke senses of: beauty, industry, playfulness, wistfulness, sorrow and joy...a well told story of life as you know it. Thanks Alicia! <3

absolutely beautiful photo! Your writing and pictures remind me of Grace Tabor's Still Meadow Day Book which I am re-reading now. She writes about life in New England much the way you write about your life in the Pacific North West. I think you would enjoy her books, Kathy

Alicia you are so inspiring, you always make me want to clear my dining table of all the stuff, stroke my cat - even more - put the kettle on and sew all afternoon. Staring blankly I tell my hubby, 'But Alicia made me do it!' ; )
On the same idea around a yearly calendar, I'm looking for an Address Book that has lots of space, kind of like your requirements for your Recipe Cards, + space for birthdays etc, filled with your photos would be bliss. I think that there is a major gap in that market especially in Australia.

You have described your blog photos perfectly Alicia, they do indeed "read" like a poem.
I have noticed the past six months you have turned into a woodland creature, your colours of Life are a symphony of moss, bark, leaf and earth tones. Very beautiful.
