Taken by Andy out the window on the way home from the fair (I was driving). I absolutely love this picture. I have looked at it about ten times. It looks exactly like it felt. Look closely to see Mt. Hood on the left. I am INCREDIBLY excited to be taking a photography seminar from Art Wolfe in a few weeks. I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait.

Beautiful! I love the colors - great shot Andy!

I love the picture too. I grew up in Portland and remember Mt. Hood always being in the background when we took a drive.

Art Wolfe! Oh Alicia - I can't wait to hear all about it. He's my favorite and I love watching him on PBS. You'll have such fun!

Oregon should appoint you two ambassadors. Based on Andy's pic alone, I officially plan to move up there. That settled it. :)

I love taking workshops. Learning something new. I plan on taking a watercolor workshop next week, it's exciting even though I've been painting in watercolor for 28 years.
Good luck with the photography workshop . . . although it seems to me you could teach one.

Hi Alicia. I'm a major lurker and just wanted to finally tell you how much I love your blog. Your writing and photography is phenomenal. I haven't embroidered or sewed in years (although in the past I have been into sewing, knitting, embroidery, crochet...just about everything). I'm a serial crafter. But despite that, I'm asking for both of your books for Christmas. Thanks so much for sharing.

I was raised in the East County area and I still miss MT Hood. We haven't lived north of Salem since 1974, Every time I am there on a clear day seeing the mountain takes my breath away. What a wonderful picture!!! By the way I love your new sewing room.

Art Wolfe! Wow, congratulations! We met him in Monterry CA last year where he was doing a workshop. We found him a very friendly and engaging man, not at all aloof for all his talent and recognition. We also watch his tv shows whenever we can. What is the workshop? My husband and son would be so jealous...

Love the picture, love Oregon. I took lots of pictures from moving cars when I was there visiting my mom and brother this summer. The scenery is just so gorgeous... and I ended up loving almost every photo I took. I shared a few on my blog (but not as many as I wanted to): http://showandtellblog.typepad.com/show-and-tell/2010/09/to-the-guy-who-has-everything.html#tp
Thanks for sharing Andy's photo. Made me smile. :)

Art Wolfe?! You lucky girl! I can't wait to hear about the workshop! Love the "out the moving car window" photo; those shots definitely catch that fleeting moment in time.
