This is a really fine list, but it is missing lovely female voices! Try Alela Diane, "White as Diamonds."
All the best to you. And I'm jealous of your correspondence.

Jamie V

Great List... thanks for sharing! Jamie V in MT

Kelly Chambers

Thanks for sharing! I love, love, love your playlist. It does, however, make me wonder what's my deal lately. As much as I love your list it makes me realize how much more (let's say) downbeat mine crafting playlist is these days. I've been listening to Diane Birch, Hem, Josh Rouse and Richard Hawley (Coles Corner) lately.

I have been incredibly stressed out at work but sheesh! I hope I'm ok. Maybe you can give mine a try when the baby arrives. I'd say it's pretty good lullaby music.

Carrie

Nice list!

I am having a "Blue Monday" Giveaway...come by and take a peek.

Have a terrific week!

Stay Cozy, Carrie

Sarah

Ah... you're a "boys with guitars" kind of girl (just like my other half). Can I suggest a couple of my favourite New Zealand artists that you might enjoy?

FARMER PIMP (http://www.myspace.com/farmerpimp)

LIAM FINN (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVpfGQ3TvPA)

and
THE PHOENIX FOUNDATION

I also love Gin Wigmore (www.ginwigmore.com) who is worth a listen to for her incredible voice. Thanks for sharing your list!

Ren

love it I have a few friends that still write real letters and I feel SO lucky to get snail mail.
They all happen to be European!

Mom

Love this. Being older and out of touch...this is such a treat! By the way, thanks so much for the fun evening and awesome food.

Alex

Fanfarlo, they're British, there's a free EP for download on their website, enjoy!

Freckled Hen

This is kind of corny but the last couple days I have listened to "Wild Montana Skies" by John Denver and thought of you and how you wrote about your future little one and the big sky.

Sarah

I agree--terrific playlist but more female voices are needed! Give Amy Seeley's album "Eight Belles" a shot. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Jennifer Grenko

I love your playlist and discovering new music through others by listening to their playlists. If I run across a blog with songs I like, I leave it up even after I'm done reading it so I can listen as I surf the net or just hang out around the house. Your sewing reminds me of the adorable things my grandmother made me in the 70's (probably some of the same patterns!).

Liss

Cool playlist, thanks for sharing.
It also made me decide that yes, we do need to go and see Wilco again (this will be 4th time) so tickets are now secured for State Theater Sydney show, thanks for the reminder.

Stella

Some great songs! And some that I haven't heard... I've just been to see Old Crow Medicine Show who are touring New Zealand, I loooooove those boys! (It helps that they are a bit handsome).

Amanda

You'd love Hayes Carll.

And thanks for posting your picks!

HOLY CRAP. ALICIA. seriously, attention!!! with a little one coming at some point in time (even REGARDLESS of that fact), you have to check out the indie, children's band LunchMoney. My friend JP is in the band and they are from Columbia, SC. and THEY ARE AWESOME! awesomely fun kid's music that doesnt make you want to punch yourself in the face. indie music for kids! you will looooooooove them; check it out:

haha also, i tooooooootally love that your mom just left you a comment and signed it "mom." i love moms.

Jenny Hillman

I am going through a huge Avett Bros. obsession right now. You have a nice list, there! Alela Diane is divine, as is Elvis Perkins, Great Lake Swimmers, Maritime, Sibylle Baier, South San Gabriel...some stuff you might like. :)

Sara

OMG! I can't wait to listen to every song. I am so out of touch! But I will throw my two cents in. I love everything Neil Finn (most recently "Don't Stop Now" with Crowded House), and the new Sade album is awesome and smooth!

Stitch Sista

Liam Finn was a great suggestion. I'm also listening to The Dears, Phoenix, Elliott Smith (New Moon), and Hotel Lights.

Joi

She & Him.

Chrysanthemama

Great list! Check out...
Aaron Espe
JJ Heller

Rayna

This is a good list. I've been loving Josh Ritter lately. And the Police.

Nothing better than a letter on stationary!

Shelley (Pink House)

I've updated my iPod list recently and spent the entire weekend in my studio quilting while listening to my new albums: I'm loving James Morrison, The Weepies, Ingrid Michaelson, and Josh Radin. Kind of a melancholy mix but it worked perfectly for sewing on rainy days! Of course, Chase McBride's band is awesome as well! Can't wait for his new CD coming soon.
