My endlessly talented and very dear friend Elizabeth Dye designed and made these enchanting dresses and styled these gorgeous photos (all taken by Lisa Warninger; I'm not sure who the model is but gosh is she pretty, too).
Elizabeth owns The English Dept., one of Portland's loveliest dress shops. They are having their annual bridal fashion show Sunday. All these beautiful dresses in one place. I've known Elizabeth for ten years now and she has always been a huge inspiration to me.
I took a photo of her wearing this same dress (and holding something embroidered) in her shop for my new book. I still love it so much. Elizabeth, you are amazing.

Wow, what beautiful dresses! Such talent, I'm impressed.

They are all positively stunning. I wish she could have designed my dress. The persuasion dress is particularly beautiful...I love the lines. So very feminine.

They are lovely, delicate looking and feminine. Elizabeth is indeed very talented. There is definitely an air of romance about her designs.
I particularly like the subtle hint of the pearls. The overall design is light and airy. I like them very much.

Love the waist detail on the middle picture, and the bodice on the last one. Let's face it I love them all. Shame I've been married 20 years...

The English Department is such a lovely place to be inspired, so many pretty things to look at! And it's right by Knit/Purl, which has some amazing yarn.

Thanks for sharing Elizabeth's dresses, they are so gorgeous, specially the last one. In a different color it would be great as an evening gown too, if anybody has need for such gowns these days any more.
I haven't been able to visit your site in the last few days and now I read that you are planning a tutorial on blocking granny's and you'll be showing us how you do the pleats and smocking. Wow! I am very much looking forward to all of it!

I hate looking at gorgeous bridal gowns!!! It makes me want to do it all over again!
Every year!
It's so not fair to let us only have one wedding day. *pouting*
Perhaps this is why some women choose to do it several times?
Oh well, I'd rather have the fantastic guy I have for life than to have 15 wedding dresses.
