So, if you've read any single post of this blog over the past almost four years, you'll know about me and square patches. About how I love them. Okay, maybe not any post.
No, any post. It's there. You just have to be able to read my secret messages. Like, when I'm saying, "I love my dog!" I'm really saying, "I love my dog and square patches!" Or, "Look! Dinner!" There I'm really saying, "Look! Dinner! I love square patches!" Most of you probably already know this. The others of you, chop chop: Gotta keep up!
:-)
I learned a new technique to put together square patches. It is the awesomest. You can stitch together a pillow cover in mere minutes. Supposing you are into that, which I'm betting you are. Because you're cool like that!
I will tell you more about it but I have got to run because my in-laws are coming tomorrow and the house is in shambles. Much like this shelf:
Hellity hell, Shelf!!!!!!!!!!!

I love square patches too...can't wait to see your new method!

Oh, don't tease us like that! I love little square patches too but just don't have the patience for sewing them all together. Can't wait to see this new technique.

Brave soul...to post a picture like that. You could cover it with a nice square patch curtain. ;)
I can't wait to see your technique. I was wanting to use up some scraps and this looks like a great way!
Take care,
Paula

Thank you for showing your fabric shelves in the state that they are in sometimes blogs (especially yours) make the rest of us humans feel we are total slackers. Okay, well maybe I am, but it's refreshing to get a peep of another side of the perfectly composed shots on your blog (which I love dearly!!!)

Alicia,
Although I wouldn't know you from the crazy lady that sells balloon animals on the street near my bakery, I just love you. Or, you know, think you're impossibly cool. We share a love of pupps, square quilts, gardens, crochet and knitting, cooking, etc.
This is kinda why I'm writing. You see, I find I gravitate to the things you dig, too. I just ordered yet another book (the River Cottage Family Cookbook) upon your recommendation. After doing so, I took a peek at my Amazon order history. Then my fabric/yarn order history. Then my clothes order history. For the past two years. Suffice to say, because of my loyal readership of your blog, I have spent over $900 on things because, once you blog them, I am helpless to resist and must order them, stat. (This doesn't include your book and the other stuff I've bought from your shop. Wow.)
So. Okay. Point is: if you get a free sec this summer, could you please start an Alicia Anonymous Group for girls like me? A group with steps and stuff? My bank account, house, life and puppy would thank ya. ;)
Hope you have a wonderful summer! Warm regards from Texas...
