* * * THANK YOU * * *

Peony1

Thank you so much for all the book love. That was so, so, SO nice to come home to. Thank you!

My peony bloomed yesterday, and I bought myself a cupcake. I sat and thought about the whole last year, and all the things that happened in it. I missed Audrey so much that I had to go find Clover Meadow, and haul her onto my lap (not easy anymore), and whisper all those things I had to say to Auds into the soft Clover-lamb's ear, and hope that Clover would pass on my messages, in her own sweet and secret doggie way. How I wish you were here, Audrey. For the good parts, like yesterday.

But. To all of you. Thank you for all your kind words and encouragement, and excitement, and orders, and enthusiasm, and for just generally being so dang nice to me all the time. Seriously.

GROUP HUG!!!!!

Ohhhhh, Alicia, how very, very, very beautiful!!!! I can literally not wait to get this book as I know it will be filled with your lovely aesthetic and your amazing writing. Just, big, huge, ginormous congratulations!!!

oooh, the cupcake - I want one - the problem is finding someplace in Bozeman MT that makes such a delectable creation! Albertson's? No - Smith's? NOT. Oh, the Food Coop? Yes! Thanks for the great idea! And the peony - beautiful! I'm still waiting for mine to bloom. Can't wait to get your book. I'm so happy for you! Jamie

I've just caught up on your last couple of posts and have to add my congratulations for the book. I actually just saw the front cover somewhere else and it looks lovely. (Hope the horse pattern's in there somewhere!) One for my Christmas list for sure. Well done!

Thank YOU for the kick arse crafting heroes interview with Lisa. It was AWESOME! :)

Congratulations Alicia ~ what a wonderful, exciting time for you! I am so looking forward to getting your book. I know it will be just as incredibly inspiring as your blog :-}

Your peony is beautiful!

that photograph is gorgeous!

being happy for you alicia is so easy to do! and, i feel really proud of you (hope that doesn't sound weird). you're a published author of a book based on your creativity from pattern to photo to word!

xo, cindy

ps i think of audrey whenever i see a corgi, and now clover, too.

I hope that cupcake was as good as it looked. I'm absolutely drooling. (And I'm sure Audrey heard everything.) <3

Well done you! You bring happiness into people's lives every day and a kind word left here is everyone's way of saying "thanks for being you".

Congratulations on the book. And all mentions of Audrey still make me pause for a moment and take a deep breath. I didn't have the good fortune of knowing your pup, but as a fellow pet mama I certainly know the love and pain that goes along with it all.

a stunning photo and that cupcake looks so yummy!

Awwww, hugs right back to you. This is just so wonderful for you and I'm sure Audrey is in doggy Heaven cheering and yelping you own. Your peony looks so pretty, I wish they grew here in Jamaica - I don't remember ever seeing anyone. Anyhoo, enjoy your moment and your yummy cupcake!
Lots of Hugs,
Dy

Isn't blog world great! I have just loved watching your creations grow into this book. You are an inspiration that if we put our mind and talent into something, we can do it. Congratulations, I know it will be a great success.

Beautiful peony. I wish I could take a bite out of that cupcake there looks yummy. I have such a sweet tooth this week.

We miss Audery too.

oh, gahhhh...I wish we were really friends...you know, in that actually face to face way.

Oh, I surprised myself by tearing up at the end of this post. You're such a sweetie to all of us and I'm sorry you can't share this time with your Audrey...Hugging back. :)

What a lovely picture! I know what it's like to lose a beloved pet and to think of it often wishing it weren't gone. We are so blessed to have furry critters in our lives to create happy memories with. Congratulations on your book! I'm sure it's fabulous and I'll keep it in mind the next time I add to my library. Love your blog so much, it inspires me daily! Keep up the fabulous work :)

Alicia - What a brilliant book concept! I am inspired just seeing the cover and reading the description! Off to pre-order it right now. November can't come fast enough! Congratulations! You deserve all the success in the world!

I can smell that peony from here. Mmmmmmmm :-)

your cupcake is giving me it's come hither look and calling my name. :) & I so love peonies, I wish we could grow them in So. Cal.!

Sorry to be a day late but I'm sending you huge amounts of good wishes and huzzahs for your book. I can barely wait, it looks so wonderful Alicia and as soon as I finish this post I'm running off to preorder!!!

Ohhhhhhhhh. I'm one of the many who loved Audrey from afar and your post just made me blubber all over again. We lost our beloved guy at the same time and I *see* him and *feel* him here with me and miss him so very much - his gal pal he left behind has been so quiet ever since. WAH WAH WAH!

Sending lots of hugs your way, for the good times and the heart tugging ones too.

a big congrats!!! the book cover is SOOOOO pretty. i wish it was here already.

Ahhhh, peonies, how I miss them. They are one of my very favorite flowers. We had so many in Milwaukee, but they don't grow here in Houston. They do, however, sell them at Central Market for $6/stem, but I don't love them THAT much. Yours are beautiful!

Congrats on the book! Can't wait to get my hands on it.
Beautiful peony as well - you wouldn't happen to know what the cultivar name is, do you?
