First Walk
On Friday morning, there was a first walk outside on a leash.
Everyone was very excited.
Well, one of us was a little nervous.
Because there were just so many new things outside of the backyard.
Oak leaves, for instance, and flowers.
Rocks and hills and dales.
The world outside is large, and I'm small.
And worried.
Just one sec. Gimme a minute here.
Oh, I got it.
Watch out, world, I'm coming through.
Oh, you're killing me here. She's so cute. I want a puppy.

Oh my gosh! That puppy is so sweet I can barely stand it. Having read your blow (which is delightful, btw) for a few months now, I think it's safe to proclaim her one lucky little dog. If only they could all have such good, loving parents!

Do you guys know about the Puppia soft harnesses that go around small dogs chest/shoulders instead of their neck? I bought one in Portland for our dog. They are really soft, comfortable (so says Rocco) and "kinder" than a neck leash. Just saying you might want to check them out.
